Academics by Grade Spans

Each span follows state-based standard spans to ensure alignment. Click and see each span overview. Each span - each course year - prepares students for the next steps in the curriculum.

Primary (Kindergarten-2nd Grade)

Young learners gain basic computer skills through learning topics including math, reading, and science. This varied practice readies them for intermediate skills.

Intermediate (3rd-5th Grade)

Learners refine basic skills and gain intermediate skills through software with increasing detail. Projects challenge them to consider real-world applications.

Middle School (6th-8th Grade)

Students in this span refine intermediate skills, build teamwork skills in conjunction with advancing skills and knowledge. Learners consider impacts of computing with contributions to real-world projects.

High School (9th-12th Grade)

Students refine advancing technical skills, building in application at higher levels. Using teamwork, skills, and knowledge, they work to solve real-world problems in preparation of future learning and endeavors.
